    NIC Andhra Pradesh state center started functioning from Vijayawada, Amaravati since 2017. It has signed one MoU with AP Government and is actively involved in computerization activities of State / Central Government Departments, Public Sector Enterprises and other autonomous organizations. The wide range of service includes system study, design, coding, testing, training, implementation, software maintenance and handholding support. Today, it has its presence in Vijayawada and also has centres in Secretariat, Velagapudi, Andhra Pradesh, Sub Collector Office, High Court etc. By setting up NICNET covering most of the departments of the AP government, it has enabled ‘district-state data flow’ and thus compiled database on most of the socio-economic sectors of development, thereby providing vital information in each district and across the state.

    It has provided state-of-the-art solutions for information management and decision support requirements of State and Central Government departments. NIC has been instrumental in operationalizing e-Governance / e-Governance applications in Government Ministries / Departments at Centre, State, District and Block, improving Government services, promoting greater transparency, decentralized planning and management of Government services at Centre, State, District and Block, resulting in better efficiency and accountability to the people of India. The Government’s “Information-based Development” programmee has been spearheaded by NIC to gain competitive advantage by implementing ICT applications in social and public administration.

    • Network Connectivity was established to various central/state government departments
    • NKN Links have been provided to various Government Universities, Government Medical Colleges and to various Government educational institutions
    • Network Connectivity has been established at 13 erstwhile district centres with 100mbps/1gbps connectivities
    • NICNET Connectivity established to 37 departments (FCI, PAO, various courts around the state and others departments). They have been connected with 2 Mbps / 8mbps / 34mbps / 100mps
